"Things are about to get Wicked in New Orleans. Twenty-two year old Ivy Morgan isn’t your average college student. She, and others like her, know humans aren’t the only thing trolling the French Quarter for fun… and for food. Her duty to the Order is her life. After all, four years ago, she lost everything at the hands of the creatures she’d sworn to hunt, tearing her world and her heart apart. Ren Owens is the last person Ivy expected to enter her rigidly controlled life. He’s six feet and three inches of temptation and swoon-inducing charm. With forest-green eyes and a smile that’s surely left a stream of broken hearts in its wake, he has an uncanny, almost unnatural ability to make her yearn for everything he has to offer. But letting him in is as dangerous as hunting the cold-blooded killers stalking the streets. Losing the boy she loved once before had nearly destroyed her, but the sparking tension that grows between them becomes impossible for Ivy to deny. Deep down, she wants… she needs more than what her duty demands of her, what her past has shaped for her. But as Ivy grows closer to Ren, she realizes she’s not the only one carrying secrets that could shatter the frail bond between them. There’s something he’s not telling her, and one thing is for certain. She’s no longer sure what is more dangerous to her—the ancient beings threatening to take over the town or the man demanding to lay claim to her heart and her soul" (Summary from goodreads.com)

No surprise that I loved yet another Jennifer L. Armentrout book. The plot was exciting and the characters were great. As soon as I started reading this one, I couldn't put it down.

Wicked is the story of Ivy who is a part of the Order and hunts faeries. She is committed to her duty after she lost everything a few years ago. Then Ren comes into town and Ivy finds herself getting closer and closer to him.

Ivy and Ren were really great and well developed characters. Ivy is tough and committed to protecting the streets of New Orleans. Ren is the mysterious new guy in town. I loved reading the relationship that developed between these two. They are both keeping their own secrets though.

The plot was exciting and I was hooked from the first page. I couldn't put this one down for long. I did predict the ending early on, but that didn't make me enjoy the book any less. Wicked was a great mix of action, romance, and humor. There were a lot of laugh out loud moments in this book and the romance was hot. The history of the faeries and the Order was interesting and explained really well. I loved the setting in New Orleans as well. It was fun to read along as Ivy hunted for faeries at night on the streets of New Orleans. It also really made me crave some beignets.

Overall I really enjoyed Wicked. I will certainly be counting down the days until the sequel is released. If you are a Jennifer L. Armentrout fan then you will definitely love this one. I also recommend this to anyone looking for a great paranormal book.
