"A beautiful and distinguished family. A private island. A brilliant, damaged girl; a passionate, political boy. A group of four friends—the Liars—whose friendship turns destructive. A revolution. An accident. A secret. Lies upon lies. True love. The truth." (Summary from goodreads.com)

Wow We Were Liars was such an amazing and memorable story. It absolutely wrecked me. I wish that I could reread this book for the first time all over again.

We Were Liars is the story of a wealthy family and four friends who spend each summer on the private island. I don't want to say any more than that because the less you know going into this book, the better.

The writing was just stunning. I loved how the story progressed and I was completely captivated from the first page. I couldn't put this book down and ended up reading it all in one sitting. It did get somewhat predictable, but I didn't even mind because I still couldn't entirely figure the whole twist out.

Overall I loved We Were Liars! This book made me cry and made my heart race. I strongly recommend picking up a copy. This is one book you won't want to miss. I will definitely be buying myself a physical copy. I will also be recommending this book to as many people as I possibly could.
