"Growing up in a house of female morticians, Lily Graves knows all about buried secrets. She knows that perfect senior-class president Erin Donohue isn’t what she seems. She knows why Erin’s ex-boyfriend, hot football player Matt Houser, broke up with her. And she also knows that, even though she says she and Matt are just friends, there is something brewing between them—something Erin definitely did not like. But secrets, even ones that are long buried, have a way of returning to haunt their keeper. So when Erin is found dead the day after attacking Lily in a jealous rage, Lily's and Matt’s safe little lives, and the lives of everyone in their town of Potsdam, begin to unravel. And their relationship—which grew from innocent after-school tutoring sessions to late-night clandestine rendezvous—makes them both suspects. As her world crumbles around her, Lily must figure out the difference between truth and deception, genuine love and a web of lies. And she must do it quickly, before the killer claims another victim." (Summary from goodreads.com)

The Secrets of Lily Graves was such a great mystery story. I've really enjoyed Sarah Strohmeyer's previous books, so I've been really looking forward to this book for months because it sounded a little different from her previous ones. I'm so happy to say that it definitely does not disappoint.

The Secrets of Lily Graves is the story of Lily who lives in a mortuary. Lily knows all about the senior class president, Erin, and why she is having problems with her boyfriend. However, after Lily gets into a fight with her, Erin is found dead. Lily was a really interesting and well developed protagonist. She's a bit of a misfit and obsessed with death. Then there is Matt, who is Lily's best friend and Erin's boyfriend. Matt was an interesting character too and I enjoyed how his whole story unraveled.

The plot kept me on the edge of my seat. It was a great balance of dark and light. There were some really creepy moments that gave me chills, but also some lighter moments too. The whole setting at the mortuary was especially creepy. I couldn't put this book down for long because I just had to know what would happen next. I loved trying to figure out the truth with Lily. There were so many twists that kept me guessing.

Overall I really enjoyed The Secrets of Lily Graves. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and creepy mystery that will keep you guessing.
