"Evie finally has the normal life she’s always longed for. But she’s shocked to discover that being ordinary can be . . . kind of boring. Just when Evie starts to long for her days at the International Paranormal Containment Agency, she’s given a chance to work for them again. Desperate for a break from all the normalcy, she agrees. But as one disastrous mission leads to another, Evie starts to wonder if she made the right choice. And when Evie’s faerie ex-boyfriend Reth appears with devastating revelations about her past, she discovers that there’s a battle brewing between the faerie courts that could throw the whole supernatural world into chaos. The prize in question? Evie herself. So much for normal." (Summary from goodreads.com)

Kiersten White's Supernaturally is the sequel to Paranormalcy and picks up a few months later. Evie finally has her normal life but she is beginning to find that being normal is boring. When the International Paranormal Containment Agency comes to Evie asking for help she agrees to go back to work for them on her own conditions. However, she soon finds herself in dangerous situations and learns that a battle is beginning between the faeries.

I loved Supernaturally and thought it was a great follow up to Paranormalcy. White once again brings to life an exciting and supernatural world with characters you can't help but love. Evie is one of my favorite female protagonists because she is strong, sarcastic, and so witty that I love reading in her point of view. I enjoyed reading about her trying to live a normal life and finding out that it can be pretty boring. Evie and Lend now have a long distance relationship while Lend is away at college and a few problems begin to arise between them. I did like the new addition of the character Jack and I was happy to see many of the other previous characters return as well. I especially enjoyed the relationship between Evie and Arianna.

Supernaturally captured my attention instantly and I finished the book in only a few hours. The plot had a few surprises in the end and a few questions are left unanswered which has left me anxious for the next installment. I strongly recommend Supernaturally and if you have not read it yet, Paranormalcy.
