"Every single lifetime, I'll choose you. Just as you have chosen me. Forever." Luce would die for Daniel. And she has. Over and over again. Throughout time, Luce and Daniel have found each other, only to be painfully torn apart: Luce dead, Daniel left broken and alone. But perhaps it doesn’t need to be that way. . . . Luce is certain that something—or someone—in a past life can help her in her present one. So she begins the most important journey of this lifetime . . . going back eternities to witness firsthand her romances with Daniel . . . and finally unlock the key to making their love last. Cam and the legions of angels and Outcasts are desperate to catch Luce, but none are as frantic as Daniel. He chases Luce through their shared pasts, terrified of what might happen if she rewrites history. Because their romance for the ages could go up in flames . . . forever." (Summary from goodreads.com)

Lauren Kate's Passion is the third book in the Fallen series and picks up right where the previous book, Torment, left off. Luce has left to go on a journey through her past lives to learn more about her history with Daniel. Meanwhile, Daniel is desperate to find Luce before something in their past changes their future.

I enjoyed Passion because it provides the history to Luce and Daniel's long love story. Throughout the book you get to finally see just how much Luce and Daniel love each other. It was interesting to see how both characters have changed over the years and how Daniel has dealt with losing Luce so many times.

An aspect that I loved about Passion is that the chapters alternate between Luce and Daniel as the narrator so I finally got inside of Daniel's head. I felt that the pace was a bit slow in this book but it did provide the much needed background history. The introduction to the new character, Bill, is a great addition to the story as well. Passion, however, leaves me with many questions so I will be highly anticipating the final book, Rapture.
