"It's been three years since the devastating accident... three years since Mia walked out of Adam's life forever. Now living on opposite coasts, Mia is Juilliard's rising star and Adam is LA tabloid fodder, thanks to his new rock star status and celebrity girlfriend. When Adam gets stuck in New York by himself, chance brings the couple together again, for one last night. As they explore the city that has become Mia's home, Adam and Mia revisit the past and open their hearts to the future - and each other. Told from Adam's point of view in the spare, lyrical prose that defined If I Stay, Where She Went explores the devastation of grief, the promise of new hope, and the flame of rekindled romance." Gayle Forman's Where She Went picks up three years after If I Stay and is told from Adam's point of view. Adam is living the life of a famous rock star and Mia, who left Adam three years ago, is becoming a star in the classical music genre. However, one fateful night reunites Adam and Mia and they not only look back on their past but also their future.

Where She Went is an addicting story of pain and hope. Once again Forman's writing is beautiful and flows perfectly between the present and past memories. One of my favorite aspects of the book was that each chapter began with the heartbreaking and honest lyrics that Adam wrote. I enjoyed reading in Adam's perspective because it gave a deeper understanding into the choices he makes and the struggles he faces daily. Adam's past memories illustrate the effects that Mia and her family had upon him. It was also interesting to see how Mia is surviving and living her life after the accident. I strongly recommend Where She Went because it will not disappoint and once you start you will find it nearly impossible to put down.
